XXXII Philosophy Conference

Experimental Philosophy: Beyond armchair philosophy
(16-17 May 2024)

The Department of Philosophy of the University of Valladolid is pleased to announce the XXXII Philosophy Conference, to be held on May 16 and 17.

Under the title «Experimental Philosophy: Beyond Armchair Philosophy», in this event we will explore some of the most outstanding lines of research and methodologies present in contemporary experimental philosophy.

The conference is open to scholars and young researchers with papers on the following topics (not exhaustive):

i. Foundations and critiques of experimental philosophy.
ii. Case studies of experiments in philosophy.
iii. Practical application of experimental philosophy to contemporary problems.
iv. Reflections on the methodology of experimental philosophy.
v. History of experimental philosophy and its contribution to philosophy.
vi. Future perspectives of experimental philosophy.

Call for Contributions

The Organizing Committee encourages contributions on topics related to the theme of the conference, suitable for a 20-minute presentation in Spanish (plus another 10 minutes for questions and discussion).

Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 15 April 2024.
